Chicago native KENNY YOUNG is a storyteller (writer, director, actor) for the screen, stage, and television. As an actor, Kenny has starred in various stage productions, including: “A RAISIN IN THE SUN,” “OTHELLO,” “FENCES,” THE GREAT GATSBY,” “THE NEGRO BUILDING,” and “THE RIVER NIGER.” He has also appeared in film and television, including ER, THE LITTLE RICHARD STORY, SACRED, and the award-winning “ONE WEEK,” which he co-wrote and starred in. Kenny sold the original script “STEP IN THE NAME OF LOVE” to MGM studios. Kenny has produced several films through his production company James Young Entertainment: REDRUM, which he wrote, directed, and starred in, aired on Showtime, Starz, and The Movie Channel. “C’MON MAN, which Kenny wrote and directed has aired on Showtime, Starz, and Bounce. “BACHELORS,” which Kenny wrote and directed, was purchased by Lionsgate.

Kenny recently directed the controversial documentary “THEY DON’T GIVE DAMN.” Kenny also directed the holiday comedy “MERRY EX-MAS” for TVOne network, which aired this Christmas season. James Young Entertainment highly anticipates the completion of the gritty animated feature written by Kenny, “CHANCE”
